Suspicious MVNO Resurfaces
Dec 19, 2005, 2:52 AM by (staff)
RockitTalk last week announced the MVNO will relaunch using Verizon's network. The company claims it will offer unlimited calling for $100 per month. Previously RockitTalk was a GSM MVNO using Cingular's network. However the company was offering unlimited calling for prices far below the cost of minutes on Cingular - as low as $50 per month. On December 9, RockitTalk announced it was shutting down service and was not refunding subscribers' deposits or payments. Many dealers suspect that RockitTalk had scammed the GSM customers and suspect the same will happen to CDMA customers who sign up with the company. Further fueling suspicion is the fact that RockitTalk's new unlimited plan costs half that of Amp'd mobile's, yet both MVNOs are using Verizon's network.

How can this be legal? That they would take peoples money and then start up again? Seems ridiculous.
A far better question would be how Verizon could let a suspect company offer service over its ne...
