Phone Scoop has received more details about the i770, a new Pocket PC phone coming from Samsung. The handset is a simple clamshell design that features a butterfly key keyboard like on Sony Ericsson's M600. Each key has two letters, pressing the left half of the key will input one letter while pressing the right will trigger the other. The large bulge in the hinge is a rotating 2 Megapixel camera with flash; it does not face the side, but rotates to face the user or to face out like on many other phones. Other features include Bluetooth, a Micro SD slot, an external color display and a jog switch for scrolling and for media playback control when the phone is closed. Previous FCC filings uncovered that the phone would be a tri-band (900/1800/1900) GSM/EDGE handset running Pocket PC.
