FCC Reveals New HotSpot @Home Router - With Phone Jacks
Aug 9, 2007, 1:23 AM by (staff)
The FCC has approved a new Linksys Router with T-Mobile HotSpot @Home branding in some of the documents. This new model includes 2 SIM slots and 2 phone jacks in addition the previous ethernet jacks and 802.11 b/g Wi-Fi. Although not much detail is revealed in the manual, it appears that the two SIM cards will provide separate telephone numbers for the two phone jacks, one of which can be hooked to a regular phone, while the other is more flexible and can be connected fax machines and other wireline devices as well as phones.

Before I get too excited...
I get one of these, I can use my cell at home unlimited (while connected to my router).
I can plug in and use a fax machine over the net with the router.
So basically, for the cost of my cell plan plus $10/month plus setup costs (router, wires, etc.) I get unlimited home use of my cell phone, and a line to fax with?
Am I correct? If this is true, I'll be one happy camper. 🤤
T-mobile understands people...
but one of the big reasons for signing up is that alot of people still have faxes and need the land line for it.
This will be another great launch...
How do I get one!
SIM Slot
I do not think this device has cellular based data services from what I can tell of the FCC documents. The only reasons that I can think of for SIM slots is for GSM/WCDMA Voice/Data...
Inquiring minds would like to know.

What is the SIM slot(s) in the Linksys router used for ?
Think about it. The Hotspot at home service allows unlimited calls if you connect through your broadband router. You can move your landline...
