? on u.s version and 8gb version
don't know which version to get...got a few questions. do you have to pay to use 3g? if so, would it be better to get the 8gb version and not have 3g and just use free wifi when ever avail? (i do not go online a lot.) im leaning toward the 8gb but don't really know the disadvantages of not having 3g. thanks
3G essentially means faster data. So yeah, just like you pay for data use on any phone, you'll have to pay to use 3G data.
Nokia N95 US Edition
I cant wait for this phone but I'm not going to be spending $700 bucks for it at the Nokia Flagship stores. I like most people will wait for it to hit on eBay for about $50 to maybe even more bucks off but how will I know which N95 it is? Does it have a Plum Back does the box say N95 US Edition? I know people will say US edition but that also could me that it is a N95 without the US bands that was sold at a Nokia Flagship store here in the US. Anyone have a clue to this?
... if your worried about being ripped off buy it at the store 🙄 if you want to be cheap then you deserve to get ripped off.
cant touch chocolate
you know i dont like chocolate pone but this is a wannabe man. these phones wish they were chocolate. i dont care wut nobody say.
Seems like a Brick ???
Just when I thought Nokia was going in the right path by releasing slim phones a la N76,than come these phones. They seems to be on the thick sides to me specially the N95 and N81.I know they are feature pack but these days who want to carry a bulky phone?
I have an N95 and have absolutely no problem with the size. Plus, if you want a 5 megapixel camera with auto-focus you're just going to have to deal with a little thickness.
And the N81 does not at all seem thick to me.
If a brick can do all that this phone can do, than yes, i would like to carry a brick 😛

Will the American verison have...
the increase in Ram and larger battery size or is the US version simply a 3G enabled version of the orginal?
Nice, But...
I would like to have seen more US 3G variants like the US N95. I like the N81 but I'm not going to purchase it and be stuck with EDGE here is the US...i'm bothered by the fact that if I purchased the N81 that it will most likely never connect to a 3G network unless I travel over seas. I guess Nokia is still testing the waters here before they throw us some more 3G.
Yea. Nokia still seems to be hesitant by entering the USA market with 3g high-end devices, especially since the networks are not all 3G. If you do get a 3G device, at some point in time, the company will get a 3G network, which will be able to be uti...

I am so pumped for this!
Ive got the Nokia N80 now and love it but always wanted an N95. But the big set back I had was, why pay the extra bucks for a phone doesnt even work to its full potential in the us? But now its here with all new memory an upgraded nokia GPS and more. Any news on ship dates cause im on the edge of my seat for this one. (Heard Sept but not offical)
Finally Nokia coming out with great phones instead of those lower end ones. They now see the demand for those high-end type of phones. Great transition.
But...even the N80 doesn't work to its full potential in the US.

Which Carrier
I love all of these, I just bought the blast and looking for every excuse to get rid of it.
Verizon will be getting the N95 early sept!!!!!!!!
Nokia does it again...
They just raised the bay even higher with all of these incredible devices.
I am guessing some execs at Motorola and Samsung are grinding their teeth right now.
Oh, and somebody has to say it...iPhone who?? These Nokia phones are going to make Steve Jobs one very worried man.
holy bunghole batman! That's almost as much as my old Mac G3 has... 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣
wait...what now? 8gb/ US?
So, I am a little confused. Is the 8gb version also, the USA 3g version? Or are we talking about 2 different phones? Anybody have the details?
From what I've read, the 8GB version is sort of an update to the one that's already available. The version compatible with U.S. networks has all the sames specs as the original, just with US 3G instead of 2100.
