Sandisk Squeezes 8GB Onto Smallest Cards

Sandisk today announced 8 Gigabyte versions of the two smallest memory card formats - microSD and Memory Stick M2. Many recently released smartphones and even midrange to high end regular phones have compatible SDHC microSD slots. Yesterday Sandisk also announced it is suing 25 manufacturers of removable flash memory such as USB memory sticks and mass storage MP3 players for patent infringement.

How common?
Does anything even support 4-8 gigagyte memory cards yet? Everything seems to say "up to 2 gig supported" And I mean regular SD and micro.
There are phones out that support the 4 gig micro SD.

Motorola Z8 has microSDHC slot with support up to 32GB when it's created.
