Google Clears FCC Auction Application Process

Of the 266 applications to participate in the upcoming 700 MHz spectrum auction, 96 were accepted--including Google's--and 170 were deemed incomplete. The incomplete applications will be sent back to the applicants for revision. Alltel, AT&T, Cox Wireless, Qualcomm, and Verizon Wireless all submitted applications deemed incomplete. The companies have until January 4 to revise their applications, and all bidders will be formalized only after they submit their upfront payments to the FCC ahead of the auction. The auction is set to take place on January 24.

Wow!

It should be an embarrassment to those companies who cannot complete an application for a wireless auction when they are in the wireless industry and have participated in such auctions before.

Ss this attributable to incompetence at the upper levels of these companies? Perhaps it does trickle down in the industry?
i hope they cant get it right so google wins go google woo hoo
