Documents seen on the FCC site reveal some details about a new version of the HTC Touch Diamond. The Touch Diamond was first announced by HTC in May. The original version did not support U.S. 3G spectrum bands. This new version seen on the FCC site includes WCDMA 850/1900, and also confirms Bluetooth 2.0+EDR and Wi-Fi. HTC has not said when this variant of the Touch Diamond will become available. HTC announced a CDMA variant of the Diamond earlier this month.

its probably going to be the last great phone to come to Alltel till the takeover 🙄
Another great phone NOT going to T-Mobile...Sigh
I work for T-mobile and it's extremely frustrating when customers come in asking what we have thats similar to the iPhone (which happens at least once or twice a day) and all I have to show them is the Wing, which is by far the WORST HTC device in history.
For god's sake, can we at least get one phone that I would be proud to sell and use myself?!
*Currently using an unlocked iPhone*
I'm with you on that one. I have had a wing since the first day it was available to the public and I am sick of it! I want a NEW BADASS phone like now and T-Mobile has absolutely nothing!
what makes you think it won't go to tmobile?
plus, they are on the android foundation, and htc is expecting to have an android phone rolled out by november, with the close relations with htc, i don't think tmo will have trouble getting a great htc ...

This phone, according to the specs submitted to the FCC wouldn't work on T-Mobile using 3G.... Since T-Mobile has announced it will be using 1700mHZ for it's 3G, this phone uses 850/1900 mHZ 3G which would put it under AT&T's umbrella.....
Perhaps,...

Can't Wait
I think this is going to be a pretty good phone. it should be a definite step up from the touch. but I am not big on touch keyboards yet. the HTC Raphael has a slide out keyboard. it is supposed to be the replacement for the mogul which I currently own. from what I have been reading, it's actuually the raphael to be launched first followed by the diamond towards the end of the year. can any one clarify?
the diamond has a launch date of 9/2, we do not have a launch date yet for the Raphael through our warehouse as of yet.
Differences????
ive been on alot of websites reading all the specifications on the Touch Diamond and I really want one but I have an Instinct right now and it seems like they are pretty much similar other than the 3D touch flo screen and Wi-Fi that the Diamond has.the camera and t.v. on the Instinct are very poor I hate it. are there any other differences?
Sprint
will have the touch diamond later this year...
SEPTEMBER 1ST, to be exact.
Potential replacement...
i wonder if this is a potential replacement for the 8925? 😲 that would be awesome!
Not really, the Diamond doesn't have a keypad.
The replacement for the Tilt (8925) is the Touch Pro, but they haven't announced a NAM 3G version of that one yet.
It probably won't show up on a carrier.
What pisses me off is no 1700MHz 3G?
boring! how about Sony X1 passed FCC yet?
i waiting for Sony x1 with 3" 800x480 resoultion compare to diamond at 2.8" 640x480!
