Motorola Launching Android Phone in 2009

BusinessWeek has confirmed some specs of a forthcoming phone from Motorola that will be based on the Android platform. According to the report, the Motorola Android phone will have design language similar to the Motorola Krave, it will have a large touchscreen similar to the iPhone's, it will have a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, and will be more "high end" than the HTC G1. The report also said that the phone is confirmed to have social networking services and applications. The phone will be priced at or near $150 and should be available in the second half of 2009.

On one hand, this could be the device Sprint may release when they are ready to release Android for CDMA.
However, Moto is usually GSM-friendly when it comes to releasing phones...
