Nokia Rolls Out Two High-End GPS Phones

Nokia today announced the 6710 Navigator and 6720 Classic phones with advanced GPS, including compass for pedestrian navigation. Both phones also include a 5-megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss lens and dual-LED flash. The 6710 is a slider phone with a touch control for zooming in and out on maps. The 6720 is a bar-style phone with active noise cancellation. The 6720 will ship in the second quarter, with the 6710 Navigator following in the third quarter.

All these phones with GPS say to the carriers, "Cripple me! I hate to have this function be free!"
I hate you AT&T and your service charge for a feature that is free! Curses!
