San Francisco Gets $50 Unlimited Plan from T-Mobile
Feb 19, 2009, 4:26 AM by Eric M. Zeman
T-Mobile said that it is testing a $50 per month unlimited plan in San Francisco. T-Mobile is also offering a $135 credit for new customers who switch from another network operator. The $50 monthly plan will only be available to customers who've already had contracts for 22 months or longer. T-Mobile may expand the trial to other regions of the country in the coming weeks.

Clarify $50 Unlimited Plan (LOYALTY)
Meaning new customers will not be offered this plan. Also, this plan will not be in stores. It is a Customer Service plan ONLY. Meaning you HAVE to be a Loyal Customer with at least 22 months of un-interupted service and you can ONLY get this plan if you call in and ask for it.
I was told it has NOT left Cali yet and that those 2 customers I had with those bills ( & plans) were probably some form of exception.
Hope this clears up some concerns and questions.

Right now T-Mobile offeres Unlimited Everything (-web) for $99. At %50 this could be a huge step for T-Mobile.
Also, offering $135 to jump ship? They are pretty much paying off everyones disconnection fees. Most companys charge between $150-200 to break contract. At $135, they are making the choice to change companys a lot easier.
T-Mobile has been making a lot of powerful moves lately. I hope this $50 a month is for Unlimited Minutes & Text. Add a $25 Unlimited Data Only feature to that and you have a Unlimited Everything Plan for $75 a Month. Big!
