HTC Plans At Least Three More Android Phones in 2009

HTC CEO Peter Chou said that the Taiwan-based maker of mobile devices plans to launch at least three more phones based on Google's Android platform during 2009. The Wall Street Journal reports that HTC exceeded its goal of 1 million G1s sold, and one of the new devices will be the "second generation" of the G1. HTC's Chou also said the company plans to launch more than 20 smartphones worldwide throughout 2009, and will begin aggressively targeting the Chinese market. Chou didn't provide a timeframe for when the phones would become available, though the Magic is set to debut on Vodafone's network in the second quarter.

1 heading for Sprint?

I have heard Sprint is slated for an Android product. This would be an excellent match up for three reasons:

1) Sprint for their Data
2) Google for their OS
3) HTC for their Devices

Definitely a winning combination

I have also heard that a WiMax chip maybe included with an upcoming Sprint/HTC Product. Could this be it? Can anybody verify?
