Today Google added the ability to perform searches within Google Maps for Android by using your voice. This means that when using Google Maps, users can speak a search query when looking for addresses or directions. This can speed up entry in search fields. Google has also added the ability to get transit directions in over 250 cities. Last, Google said it has corrected some bugs in the Latitude feature. In order to use the new features, Android users should manually download and install the newest version of Google Maps for Android. The download is free.
