AT&T Sues LG, Samsung, Others Over LCD Price Fixing

AT&T has filed a lawsuit against a number of companies that manufacturer liquid crystal displays and alleges that the companies named have consorted to raise and fix the prices for displays used in electronics such as mobile phones. The companies sued by AT&T include LG, Samsung, Sharp, Chunghwa and AU Optronics. AT&T says it has purchased some 300 million mobile phones from the companies involved at inflated prices due to the scheme. The lawsuit was filed in San Francisco.

and it will cost you over 150$ to replace LCD! you tell me is that price fixing or not. over 150$ just to replace a 2.8" LCD screen? you can get a 19" LCD monitor for 150buk!

Uhhh...is this a smart thing?
How smart is it to sue the folks who manufacture phones that you use on your network? I am not a pro at business relations...but is this a good thing?
