Google Search Now Auto-Suggests Locally Relevant Queries

Today Google announced a change to searches performed from the Android and iPhone browser versions of Google.com. From now on, Google.com will automatically include current (or most recent) location information. This means that when iPhone and Android users begin to type a search query, Google.com will suggest locally relevant searches. For example, if a user in New York City starts to type "Metro", Google.com will automatically offer search suggestions such as "Metropolitan Museum of Art" or "Metro Transit Authority". Users can then choose those suggestions without the need to finish typing the query. In theory, it will speed up searches by reducing the amount of typing necessary.
