Hey guys, look at us! We did good!

Way to toot your own horn T-Mobile. Congrats! πŸ™„
Yeah, it would have been much better to make it free but not tell anyone! 🀨

Granted that publicity is at least part of why T-Mobile did this, but can a company not do anything nice anymore without everyone assuming the worst - that it's 100% just a cheap publicity stunt? Would it really be better if they did nothing at all? M...

Wow, and I thought I was cynical. Of course T-Mobile told people they did this, how else would their customers know that they could call Haiti for free? Or better yet, head there to help and not get charged! Don't get me wrong, I'm sure that they w...

Verizon Wireless Advances $2.98 Million In Donations From Its Customers To Red Cross

Verizon Wireless today transmitted $2,987,560 to the American Red Cross, representing dollars pledged by texting customers to the Red Cross relief effort for Haiti. This represents donations made by Verizon Wireless customers for the first two days of the campaign from 12:01 a.m. EST on Wednesday, Jan. 13 through 2 p.m. EST on Friday, Jan. 15.

As the outpouring of support continues from wireless users texting HAITI to 90999, the company said it would continue to advance funds pledged by Verizon Wireless customers and provide dollars to the Red Cross outside normal operation procedures.

Verizon Wireless president and CEO Lowell McAdam said, ΓƒΒ’Γ’β€šΒ¬Γ…β€œPresident Obama and Secretary of State Clinton have challenged the American people to do...

Yeah, so are all the other carriers. T-Mo has the same setup. You text HAITI to the very same number. But good for them, and its nice to see this outpouring of support from people. Makes me feel a little less jaded.
This is great that Verizon is doing this, but I think T-Mo's actions are a lot more generous. What is VZW losing on doing this? Just the interest on the $3 mill. they had sitting in the bank. They are going to recoup most if not all via billing!! Go T...

T-Mobile needs a halo on the T 0=]

πŸ™‚ That is such great news to hear that T-mobile is stepping up and doing what's right in this time of crisis and I will definitely look to see where I can donate money to help. Its great to see how so many different people around the world are helping the people in Haiti. If only that was case with everything else, that is wrong with this world... ☹️
