'DemoAnywhere' Lets Sprint Customers Try Before Buying

Today Sprint unveiled a new online tool that allows potential customers to take mobile phones for a "test drive" before they commit to buying them. DemoAnywhere is a web-based application that lets customers interact with the phone and get an idea of how the user interface and features work. The software also provides step-by-step tutorials for 34 different Sprint handsets to help users figure out their new phones. The tutorials offer information such as how to transfer music from a PC to a phone, or how to set up email. Sprint hopes the software will help customers select a handset that is more suited to their needs, as well as take some pressure of its technical support teams.

Good Idea, better then nothing, but?

Honestly, I think Sprint is going in the right direction with this, buying a phone off an in store dummy is really not fair to the consumer, not fair to the retailer when its brought back because its not what the consumer wants.

Right now, and this is true for all the carriers, the only stores that have live phones are corporate. So this would be great for online and resellers. While I think its better then nothing, it doesn't replace using a live phone. Well I shall check it out.
Yeah, This isn't going to work.

These customers are the dumbest customers. They have all type of tools in front of them that they don't use. I honestly hope it works or at least cut back on the confused customer.
...
But yet your willing to buy a N1 w/o playing with it before hand?
