Skyfire today announced availability of its Skyfire 2.0 mobile browser for Android devices. The browser is capable of playing Flash videos, using Skyfire's so-called cloud servers to handle much of the processing workload decoding the video format. The Skyfire 2.0 browser also uses the new SkyBar, a toolbar that separates Flash content on a Web page to make it easier to access. The SkyBar also recommends related contents and lets users share articles and videos with friends on Facebook, Twitter, or by e-mail and SMS. The browser is available as a free download from bit.ly/skyfireandroid.

Mozzila should learn from Skyfire!!!

I swear it seems like Mozzilla has beeen working on a mobile Firefox browser for well over a year!!! Both for WinMo and Android. Things take so long with Mozzilla I wonder if they even do any work!!!

Older models?

Gotta go try it, but i'm using the Cliq, still stuck on Android 1.5, anyone know if it's working with previous android versions?
It will work just fine. Their site states it will work with Android 1.5 and above. I have it installed on a myTouch at the moment. Works well. Hulu still won't play, but hey, its a beta. Amazing how it works. Damned brilliant.
skyfire.com should give you a list of compatible versions for Android. I have 2.1 on a Droid and it works great.
Just installed it on my Cliq, and it appears to run just fine. Haven't had much of an opportunity to play with it though, since i only had 15 minutes.

Very Nice

Just downloaded skyfire from market on 2.1 droid. this is sick....plays many flash enabled website videos. but doesnt play hulu yet. still in beta though...

btw, works great on my fav porn sites too....end of week work productivity just got destroyed! LMAO
Can you do me a favor? Go to MTV.com, select shows, and try to watch a full episode of any show listed. If this works smoothly, I'm sold.

This page requires flash 10.blah blah blah

Sorry this video is NOT available on YOUR PLATFORM... so NO HULU!!! 😳
Its a BETA!! Do you know what that means?!! It by no means SUCKS!!! It just doesn't do everything you want... yet.

This most likely has to do with how skyfire operates (redistribution) so it would violate piracy laws to stream it or something (and it might not play nice with their ad setup)

I've tried a couple of sites and so far, my phone reboots every time it gets to 100%.

So Far seems pretty fast at least

Ive tried other browsers besides my stock on my Samsung Moment including Opera and none of them seemed faster then the stock until this one on rendering pages. I just have to get used to how it works. I was able to play two videos then it froze but hey its in beta etc at least it tries!

but its still in beta, so i will patiently
I am sure they will work out the kinks. Considering how many networks post their shows online, this could pave the way for some serious mobile entertainment. I agree it doesn't seem to support as much as the WinMo version, but I really prefer the wa...
