T-Mobile today announced that it will sell the Android-based Garminfone from Garmin starting in June. The Garminfone was announced earlier this year, but T-Mobile plans to make it available with a number of branded services and applications on board. It will support the full gamit of Garmin navigation features, and will be preloaded with Facebook and Twitter apps. T-Mobile will sell the device for $200 after rebate with new agreement and qualifying plan. Alternately, customers can choose to pay the full retail price of $450 with no further contract commitment. T-Mobile said it will announce exact availability closer to the release date.

Too much

This is a shame. Its a really nice device, at least as far as a GPS device goes. But $200 is a bit much on a contract, especially considering its running Cupcake under its Garmin UI. I played with it for a bit, it is very nice for what it is, but its... different.
