DoubleTwist Fills In the Android Media Player Gap
Jun 2, 2010, 10:24 PM by Philip Berne
DoubleTwist has released a media player for Android devices, available from the Android Marketplace. The company already makes a popular music sync application for Macs and PCs. In fact, the third party sync software is popular enough that T-Mobile recommends it as a sync solution for its HTC HD2 phone. Now DoubleTwist is providing a music and video player for Android phones. Google had not significantly updated the music player on Android devices since the original T-Mobile G1. While DoubleTwist does not offer advanced features beyond the stock Android app, it does offer a different look and feel, and integrates music and video into one app. The DoubleTwist media player is a free download for a limited time.

Not on cupcake 1.5?
It's a REALLY basic player though.
MixZing is a better (and still free) alternative.
Pretty basic (though pretty) alternative.
MixZing Media is the app I use for music on my Droid (and Meridian for movies, because I like how it handles gestures)
