Virgin Mobile will launch its own version of the Novatel MiFi device. According to Gearlog, carrier reps have confirmed the prepaid wireless hotspot device will be coming next week. The MiFi will cost $149 with no contract required. Service will be available with plans running from $10 for 100MB of data to $60 for 5GB. Verizon Wireless offers a MiFi device without a contract agreement, but Sprint offers no such device, and the latter carrier uses Virgin Mobile, its wholly owned subsidiary, for prepaid offerings. The Virgin Mobile MiFi will be available on June 28 from Best Buy, Radio Shack and online.
