Sprint and Samsung today announced that Sprint will begin selling its variant of the galaxy Tab for the price of $400 starting on November 14. In order to get the Galaxy Tab at the $400 price point, users will have to agree to a new, two-year 3G Tablet Mobile Broadband plan. Sprint is offering two plans, 2GB for $30 per month, or 5GB for $60 per month. Both plans include unlimited picture and text messaging. The Galaxy Tab will support Sprint Navigation for an extra $3 per day, or $10 per month. Sprint confirmed to Phone Scoop in an email that it will also offer a no-contract version of the Galaxy Tab for $600. It can be pre-ordered starting today for $50. Verizon Wireless is also selling the Galaxy Tab for $600 with no contract requirement.

Smaller screen (subjective but most are calling it a bigger phone)
No WiMAX
High Price

They really had an opportunity here to give Apple a run for it's money but once again Samsuck comes up short.
What should have happened was Amazon getting together with a company like HTC and creating a Kindle Pad along with an 9" AMOLED screen, FFC, kickstand, Android 2.2, WiMAX and all the goodies. Once again due to ignorance and arrogance they missed a golden opportunity.
Apple may be hated and their products may be overrated but one thing they do know is what people want.
Sprint - Overpriced Tab Data Plan!
Sprint will loose the potential competitive edge here to gain on AT&Ts iPad and iPhone sales and get back some of those lost customers. They need to be more competitive and offer more customer choices.
Verizon is not offering a discount
(only full price $600)
1gb for 20$
Sprint is offering both
399.00 on contract
600.00 off contract
2gb for 30$
5gb for 50$
