Dropbox has released version 1.0 of its internet-based file transfer service. Users create an account that can be accessed from Windows and Apple computers, as well as BlackBerry, iOS and Android phones. The 1.0 version includes a large number of new features. According to Dropbox, the size of the application has been reduced significantly, and it uses fewer system resources to operate. Dropbox also redesigned the appearance of the desktop clients, has enabled selective syncing, and added support for more file types. The software is free to download and use.
