Sprint Launches Google Voice for Sprint Numbers

Sprint today announced the launch of a unique variant of the Google Voice service that will let customers use Google Voice with their Sprint phone number. The unique service avoids the porting process that would normally cancel Sprint service and potentially incur and early termination fee.

Yeah but this is Sprint we are talking about... Where one positive thing comes, multiple negative things happen as well.
...
Hope that we don't see another Nextel-merger type debacle anytime soon.

Beautiful move sprint!

Don't blow this! Market it in such a way that EVERYONE can understand! Not just us geeks!

Who says competition will fade because of mergers? The ONLY real way to avoid monopolies is to allow the threat of them!

*full disclosure, I have a decent amount of sprint stock because, even though I am not one of their customers, nor do I work for them, I believe they will succeed.
I hope they explain it very well too.

Using GV as a primary number requires one thing, the use of a s***load of mobile to landline minutes, which Sprint does give unlimited, on the $99 Everything Data. All others it's capped to your plan.
