      <description>&lt;p&gt;U.S. Cellular today indicated that its LTE 4G network has grown steadily this year and now covers 30% of its cellular footprint. U.S. Cellular also said that it expects 58% of its cellular footprint will have LTE 4G coverage by the end of the year. The company has 7,932 cell towers operating, 4,512 of which are company owned.       <description>&lt;p&gt;U.S. Cellular today announced the immediate availability of the Samsung Galaxy S Aviator, which it says is its first LTE 4G smartphone. The Aviator is an Android 2.3.6 Gingerbread device that includes a 4.3-inch WVGA SAMOLED+ touchscreen, an 8 megapixel rear-camera, front-facing webcam, and an HDMI port. The Galaxy S Aviator will be available for $199.99 after a $100 mail-in rebate, though for
a limited time, customers who live in markets covered by U.S. Cellular's LTE 4G network can get the phone for $99.99 after a $100 mail-in rebate. Some of the new markets include Rockford and Peoria, Ill.; Columbia and Jefferson City, Mo.; Manchester, N.H.; Wilmington and Jacksonville, N.C.; Tulsa, Okla.; Medford, Ore.; Knoxville, Tenn.; Roanoke and Lynchburg, Va.; Yakima and the Tri-Cities, Wash.; Morgantown, W. Va. and LaCrosse and Beloit, Wis. U.S. Cellular said that by the end of its year 54% of its service footprint will have access to LTE.
