I have drop ed, cracked, and washed and the phone still worked good! I bought the phone Oct 1, 2002 Eventually it stopped working so I took it to Sprint Oct 29, 2006 and the gave me the same phone! Sprint had extra lg 5350's! Sprint has always worked with me and has replaced alot of phones without even charging me! I was with Verizon and they did crap! They were horrible, they never helped me out at all! Sprint is awesome! aswell as my phone! This phone is great it makes and takes my calls, internet is really fast, it powers on really fast, battery life is great! I have no complaints over this phone! All pros! No Cons!

(Follow link to rate this review or report it to us as inappropriate.)

p8ntballa06 submitted this review of the LG LX5350:

Overall rating: 5 (out of 5)

I have been using this phone for a while, i had bought it to replace my Samsung. It had a camera, and all that other junk, but i didn't need all of that, all i needed was just a really reliable phone, and this one just fits awesome!

This phone, for starters has GREAT signal.. where my Samsung would go into "Analog Roaming" my 5350 gets 1-2 bars on Sprint! i usually don't even need to extend the antenna on this phone, although sometimes i need to.. I am here in Columbus, Ohio.

This is really the only phone that i have seen on Sprint where the antenna extended will actually give you 1-2 more bars(i know bars aren't always the best thing :) ).. on my samsung, it would just make the call a little bit clearer.

Also, this phone has decently loud ring tones.. My only complaint is the fact that the speaker phone is Listen only.. i wish it was full duplex, because the loud speaker on this phone sounds great!

so, to sum it up:

Pros:
Great Signal
Great Battery life (i can usually get two to three days of usage with one charge, with me playing games, using vision, and talking about an hour a day)
great stylish look
Easy to use
Loud ring tones

Cons:
Takes a while to start up
Speaker phone is only Half Duplex

This is a great little phone! i would recommend this phone to anyone!

(Follow link to rate this review or report it to us as inappropriate.)

nicnic submitted this review of the LG LX5350:

Overall rating: 4.5 (out of 5)

I purchased this phone in Nov '02 and used it until March '05, which was approx 2.5 years. The only reason I don't use it anymore is because it konked out on me after a few too many drops, probably.

Overall, I had good use out of the phone, no major complaints. To note, however, I did not use the phone for web browsing or text messaging - I only used it for standard conversations. It doesn't have an attached camera, either, but I don't use phone cams anyway. The items that makes me want to use any given phone are (a) call quality, (b) signal reception, (c) easily useable without having to make a lot of keystrokes.

I liked it enough to consider buying another 5350 on ebay.

PRO's:
1) Huge phone number address book. You can store 10 (yes 10!) numbers per entry. Far more than any other phone in 2002 or 2005. That's an abnormally large amount.

CON's:
1) Battery life for the standard battery was on the short side, lasting usually around 2-2.5 hours or so, per charge. I ended up buying the larger capacity battery which provided approx double the battery life.

2) Lack of convenient phone sync software. I bought a second-hand software but it never did work right, so I had to enter all my contacts manually (ughh).

(Follow link to rate this review or report it to us as inappropriate.)

Sprint was less than helpful as well, but that's another discussion. My sister has the same phone as well and she has experienced the immediate shut down and lack of battery life. I just seem to lose service during my calls, receive voice mail notices hours later, and the phone is not very resilient, for the face cracked on my phone as well as my sister's (she had the phone for 12 days and it cracked while closing the phone and placing it on the recharger). I cannot wait to get rid of this phone.

(Follow link to rate this review or report it to us as inappropriate.)

Don't want to pay for business connection or have it run on my pc all the time.

Pros:
-Poly Ringtones
-External Caller ID
-Great Color Screen
-Ton of Memory 3M
-Small Size
-PC Sync Calender, Contacts, Ringtones, Pictures

Cons:
-Battery life is not great even with Ext Bat
-No two way speaker phone, Sprint disabled it in software
-No bleed through from mic into speaker on phone, takes some getting used to. Makes it seem phone is not loud enough.

(Follow link to rate this review or report it to us as inappropriate.)

shadowaic submitted this review of the LG LX5350:

Overall rating: 1 (out of 5)

I actually liked this phone when I first got it...until I tried calling someone outside for the first time, and realized I could not hear them at all. Luckily, they also could not hear me, and to this day (I have had this phone far, far too long- 14 months now) I literally have to shout for people to hear me the majority of the time. I bought this because, at the time, it was one of a total of two color flip phones on the market; I liked the display; and I liked the polyphonic ringers, something I had not had before. What I did not realize was that, although the ringers do sound good, they are pretty worthless when the ringer volume is so low (even when turned to high) that it is nearly impossible to hear them. The fact that connecting to the internet, which is a hit or miss prospect at best, is needed to retrieve text messages is an enormous PITA. The constant cycling on and off for no apparent reason is obnoxious, and the battery life is nearly nonexistent. Anyway, if anyone is ever thinking of buying this; don't.

(Follow link to rate this review or report it to us as inappropriate.)

I have to first correct the myth that Sprint is a horrible cell phone service. i get the most minutes out of what i am paying. $20.00 per month 750 anytime 750 nites $ weekends and Unlimited Pcs to Pcs minutes. this is the greatest color screen phone that i ever had. the Internet on this phone very fast and text messaging and voice mail are instant. ring tones are nice and loud, i work in a busy area and i need a loud ring-tone so i don't miss important calls. the phone-book capacity is wonderful!!! i have many important contacts and i could put 5 numbers per contact and assign different ring-tones for each person. which i think is great, so i know who to answer and not 2 answer. The BeSt FeAtuRes of this phone are the Alarm Clock and the Ignore button LoL.

(Follow link to rate this review or report it to us as inappropriate.)

I swear I have 80 ringtones that I've downloaded off of mbuzzy.com. The reception is perfect, the ringer on this bad boy is a 40 chord, more than any other phone. It tops the list as far as stuff I want. The only thing that I have had problems with is the internet. It seems like the modem gets caught online and you have to manually sign out sometimes to recieve calls. My phone before this was a LG TP1100 and I had not one problem with it. After having this phone for 2 years and it still having more memory than the new $400 Samsungs, Im an LG fan for life. I cant wait for the new model to come out. If you can find one of these phones for a good price, get it!

(Follow link to rate this review or report it to us as inappropriate.)

Demonfeed submitted this review of the LG LX5350:

Overall rating: 4 (out of 5)

I rate phones off of convenience. This one is not totally bad like alot of the phones in its class. This phone has a pretty nice display, as well as decent signal capabilities. The flip covers the display, so it limits damage to the phone with dropping and the like. Overall, its what a phone should be, but with no major redeeming qualities. It makes calls, it receives calls. The internet is not too overly complicated for the average consumer to use and enjoy, and the applications the internet was made to use for the most part work. The only downside to this phone is the battery life. Its not as bad as the n240 or the 1010, but not as good as the 4700, 4900, and the 9155. The features of the phone are for the most part standard issue, which is a good thing... This phone is about the best phone lg can offer, since they have a history of making some pretty shoddy phones. I wouldnt recommend it if you want a higher end phone, but its better than everything in its class but the slim sanyo phones. Overall, its for the average user, nothing more.

(Follow link to rate this review or report it to us as inappropriate.)

LG makes alot of simple to use phones. i prefer the ones on the sprint service. ive used this one and the 4ne1 phone. i recommend both. features id like to see? maybe a camera, but hey, i have a zaurus for that, speaker phone, but hey, thats what my ear piece is for, and i dont want everyone knowing what im talkin bout. LG, yall have really hit the mark with the 2 phones ive used. so i give u the highest rating,

(Follow link to rate this review or report it to us as inappropriate.)

It shuts down and restarts almost like a computer rebooting from time to time. The sprint pcs vision web service is ridiculously slow and doesn't work at all many times

(Follow link to rate this review or report it to us as inappropriate.)

Wireless Detective submitted this review of the LG LX5350:

Overall rating: 5 (out of 5)

I just lost the entire thing I just wrote, so I'll summarize. I'm a RadioShack employee, no, not one of those RS employees with their guts hanging out over their belts who would just as soon inhale a jelly doughnut than actually help a customer with any useful information. I do outside research and can actually provide quality, correct information. And I don't eat doughnuts.

Originally, I was going to hang on to my Sanyo 6200 through 4Q2002 (when all the cool Vision phones were gonna be available), but then I heard the Hip Hop ringer on the 5350, right then I had to have it. The 40 chord ringers are great (if you like that sort of thing), and the 65000 color screen makes a big difference. I also like the java capabilities and the 4096KB of memory (and the unlimited internet usage on my employee plan). Other than the Pittsburgh-market only spontaneous restarting that the phone does (and there's a software fix for it now), its almost flawless. I still can't understand the logic behind the decision to not include a two-way speakerphone... the monitor function just isn't enough.

I would have bought the Samsung A500, but other than the TFT screen, I wasn't impressed. I also didn't (and still don't) like the price tag (thats not true. I'm gonna buy the first Kyocera 7135 that we get in the store).

Anyway, buy the LG LX5350, you'll be impressed and happy, and you'll never regret your decision. Ever. And above all, you'll get the Radio Shack Service Plan and you'll never return the phone. Yeah, that would be nice.

Sprint Wins! (as the display reads on my Verizon Samsung N150)

(Follow link to rate this review or report it to us as inappropriate.)

MuncleJim submitted this review of the LG LX5350:

Overall rating: 4.5 (out of 5)

I've had them both, and returned the A500. The LG 5350 is a hands-down winner. Why?

- much easier and intuitive navigation
- STANDARD ring tones included
- signal strength is more stable in fringe coverage areas
- ships with a nice desktop charger (the A500 has an unbelievably cheap plug-in type charger that readily falls out of the phone with the slightest movement)
- less expensive

The half-star reduction in my rating is due to the fact that the 5350 screen back light does not automatically dim when the flip is open for extended periods. So, when using the web, the screen goes dark unless you set the back light to be always-on. This is OK for web use, but is an unnecessary battery drain during a phone call.

(Follow link to rate this review or report it to us as inappropriate.)

wingtip submitted this review of the LG LX5350:

Overall rating: 4 (out of 5)

I had to return my n400 phone because it didn't have the reception that my old 3500 had. Too bad because I liked the speaker-phone. The LG has excellent reception and I like it very much. It does not come with a comprehensive manual, but you can download a pdf of it from the Internet. Phone Scoop specs says that it has a listen only speaker-phone, but I can't find it. I have checked the manual and it does not mention it and try as I might with all buttons I can't figure it out. It may not have this feature, which would be too bad. This phone would be perfect if the ringer was a bit louder and it had a full duplex speaker-phone.

(Follow link to rate this review or report it to us as inappropriate.)
