VitPep submitted this review of the Nokia 1006:

Overall rating: 1.5 (out of 5)

PROs:
~Cheap
~small
~easy to read number pad with light-up backgrounds
~internet ready
~in-depth alarm clock
~Includes Tip Calculator

CONs:
~Software lags
~Not texting friendly
~Not browser friendly (pressing UP can mean moving both moving upward and previous page)
~Loud Speaker is not so loud

Texting can be torturous, would not recommend this phone to anyone that relies heavily on text messaging (such as myself, which explains the low review). The internet browser is decent, although if you need to scroll upward, it can, and often will, return to the previous page.

Other than that, if you're in a financial bind and you really need a phone, but intend on replacing it soon, I would recommend this phone. If you plan on using this long-term, stay away.

(Follow link to rate this review or report it to us as inappropriate.)

4bestway submitted this review of the Nokia 1006:

Overall rating: 4 (out of 5)

This is not a smartphone, but for the user that just wants a great little phone with basic functions, it is well worth the price. I use it with a Bluetooth speaker system and it works very well. The built-in speaker phone is not all that great but it does work. I like the small size. Text messaging works fine. I like the bar phone shape and often use it like a microphone when talking to groups. A good basic phone. Much better than any trac phone.

(Follow link to rate this review or report it to us as inappropriate.)

Qbanbull submitted this review of the Nokia 1006:

Overall rating: 3 (out of 5)

I mean what can you say. You get what you pay for. It's $19.99 Helloooo!

So here it is...

Pros:

Its a Nokia (enough Said)

Cons

Very small
Not Text Friendly
Needs some getting use to for those not use to a Nokia

Its JUST OK. Had this phone for less than a day and returned it. I thought it was good to have for a few weeks while I waited to upgrade my plan, but I couldnt deal with the phone. Too small and the keypads were to small for my fingers.

To each his own. Price is cheap and Nokia are always the Best.
I recommend for those who need a back up phone or simply dont want to waste money, but wouldnt recommend to have as a primary phone!

(Follow link to rate this review or report it to us as inappropriate.)

acdc1a submitted this review of the Nokia 1006:

Overall rating: 2 (out of 5)

I'm tired of my flip phone. I don't know why, but I don't care for them. So I decided to try the Nokia 1006 instead. What a joke. Areas that my Samsung worked just fine in I got now service. Took it back and got another with the same problems!

Pros:
- Small
- Lightweight

Cons:
- Gets Hot
- Poor reception
- Battery life is marginal (probably due to poor reception)

(Follow link to rate this review or report it to us as inappropriate.)

lrwilliams submitted this review of the Nokia 1006:

Overall rating: 3.5 (out of 5)

The Nokia 1006 is considered a basic, low-end phone but it is light weight and elegant in design with a solid, quality feel in the hand. Aesthetics include an attractive, ergonomically curved body shape that is supposed to gently curve along the shape of one's face and inside the palm of the hand--but it is a small design novelty without any genuine ergonomic functionality. With a choice of several low-end MetroPCS phones this was actually not my first choice. I first chose the Kyocera Melo for it's looks but took it back almost immediately (within the hour!) and swapped it for the Nokia 1006. The main reason was the keypad. It was almost impossible for me to read the tiny, light-colored alpha-numeric keys on the Kyocera which would make it very difficult to text message. The Nokia has lager keys and alphanumeric characters that are white set against black. The visibility is much better for texting. This phone has grown on me as I have become more familiar with how to navigate its operating system. In short, I really like the Nokia 1006 for it's price, style and functionality.
The only things I don't like are its short battery life and that it is so thin that I'm afraid I'll drop it while it's up to my ear. The Nokia 1006 doesn't fit in my hand nearly as well as my old Motorola C139 which was a little tank, or have the C139's super long battery life!

(Follow link to rate this review or report it to us as inappropriate.)
