I love the built-in MP3 player, the Micro-SD card slot, the 3 MP camera and the QWERTY keyboard. I use my phone all the time and it stays charged - even with the use I give it, I still only need to charge it every couple days.

Pros:
Nice design
Good battery life
Great camera for a phone
Easy-to-use buttons and menus
Excellent sound quality

Cons:
Both the internal and external screens are too small
You have to have the phone open to use the speakerphone
Web capabilities are limited

(Follow link to rate this review or report it to us as inappropriate.)

lafaye submitted this review of the LG enV3 VX-9200:

Overall rating: 2.5 (out of 5)

Alrighty, so i've had this phone model for about 1.5 years. The reason why I say model is because i've had 3 of these phones. when i first got it i had no problems, then 1 month later problems got a new phone then one month later looky there i had to get a new phone.. and once again about a month later i had to get a new phone, and i've had that phone ever since.

PROS of this phone
1. nice QWERTY keyboard, i love it.
2. easy to use
3. a camera flash

CONS of this phone
1. battery life(it may just be my phone but the battery life sucked)
2. turns off even if it was in my pocket.
3. unlocks and i ended up calling random numbers.
4. service is asi-asi

Whenever this phone turns off on it's self i'm afraid it won't turn on again because on recent phones it wouldn't turn on. i don't like this phone and i am getting a new one ASAP because the turning off is wayy to often. Oh also the camera sometimes won't work and it's soo suckish because it usually happens when i need it.

I recommend not to get this phone. and my reasons are up above.

I also live in Wisconsin in a rural area i guess but on top of a hill i live on the bottom of i have way better service but down here i hardly have any. so yeah. but do what you want. get a bad phone, it's your choice.

(Follow link to rate this review or report it to us as inappropriate.)

BBuff43011 submitted this review of the LG enV3 VX-9200:

Overall rating: 1 (out of 5)

I purchased 2 LG Env3's last Christmas for two grandchildren. Both of them stopped working within the year. I sent for new phones under the one-year warranty and received them. Both of THOSE phones also stopped working - same problem - the phone wouldn't power on. I was able to get my grandson's replaced under warranty again, because BOTH of them went out within the year, but my granddaughter's second phone waited until just days after the one year was up to go out - same problem again - phone won't power on. I have an insurance claim in to replace this one, but had to pay the $40 deductible for a phone that is clearly defective. Don't buy one of these phones! We've now had 4 of them go out in just a little over a year.

(Follow link to rate this review or report it to us as inappropriate.)

TracyChan submitted this review of the LG enV3 VX-9200:

Overall rating: 3 (out of 5)

First LG-UX9200 was purchased in 6'2009, then it shut down on its own very often and Verizon replaced a refurbished phone in 10'2009. The replacement works great till mid Nov'2010 (passed 1 yr warranty).

Brought it back to Verizon and was told that they knew abt the defect but can't replace it because it passed 1 yr warranty. I asked Verizon why they don't recall the product when there is defect. Verizon told me to call LG.

Called LG customer service, LG denied any defect in their product, and said Verizon is wrong saying that there is defect w the product. Well, once search on line, there are plenty of users like me -- got turned off without warning.

Verizon & LG are both denying responsibility. Whoever bought this phone from Verizon should bring back to exchange a replacement before the 1 year is up.

Wasn't happy with Verizon & LG's attitude handling their defective products.

(Follow link to rate this review or report it to us as inappropriate.)

PhoneCriticNo1 submitted this review of the LG enV3 VX-9200:

Overall rating: 2.5 (out of 5)

Over all the functions provided by the phone as a Talk & Text device without a data package is great. The dependability and reliability of the phone is VERY poor.

Random call drops, turning off on it's own, alarmingly warm with calls over 15 minutes and not registering missed calls is real bummer.

I am looking at the possibility of going to the LG Octane as a replacement. At least now I know what to expect and will put any replacement through the ringer before 30 days are up. I would have rather paid a 35 dollar stocking fee than go through life with one more minute using this phone.

Most aggravating!

(Follow link to rate this review or report it to us as inappropriate.)

If your waiting for a kidney, or if your social life is just a bit tenuous, I would NOT buy this phone.

(Follow link to rate this review or report it to us as inappropriate.)

ridethelightning1984 submitted this review of the LG enV3 VX-9200:

Overall rating: 3.5 (out of 5)

I have had this phone for 8 months now. It was an upgrade from my enV2. Honestly, in the end, I still wish I never upgraded. I can't switch back to my enV2 because I sold it after buying this one. Let's just jump right into this:

PROS:

Very Sturdy
Great Call Quality
Keyboard is so easy to use
Fast Data, Outgoing and Incoming
Looks Cool, Great Design
Camera quality unbeatable in a phone of this budget range.

CONS:

Battery Life - It's declined by about 50% since I bought the phone.
Signal Strength - I never see more than 0, 1, or 2 bars. Calls and text messages? Sometimes I don't even get them.
Charger - The non-proprietary USB cable combo charger is a great move on LG's part, a huge upgrade from earlier models. But it is cheap and falls apart. I've replaced it more than once.
Material - The smallest thing will scratch this phone. It's just unavoidable, even with a case I've ended up with more scratches on the phone. It also attracts fingerprints very well.
Voicemail Indicator - Doesn't tell me when I have voicemail even if the indicator is set to "on."

Although the pros still outweigh the cons on this phone, it still has some quirks that prevent me from REALLY liking it. My enV2, although it was a step down on a number of features, it was a much more reliable phone. If you have an earlier model enV or enV2 phone, this is NOT a worthy upgrade. You're better off with one of the older models.

(Follow link to rate this review or report it to us as inappropriate.)

rogerthat submitted this review of the LG enV3 VX-9200:

Overall rating: 2.5 (out of 5)

I generously give this phone a 2.5 because it is working OK now, minus a few quirks.

Last November, I was in the market for a new cell. My old one was great but the battery was dying. So I engaged in some reviews of potential phones. I waivered between the LG enV3, the LG Touch, and the Samsung Alias.

Not sure I like the touch feature and seeing mediocre to OK reviews, I passed. Knowing someone who had the Alias and the problems with the punctuation (albeit minor) and the size of the phone alone knocked that one out. That left me with the enV3.

BIG mistake! I'll save you the whole sordid and frustrating experience. But needless to say, after going through THREE!! phones in 3 weeks time, this phone sucks.

Maybe I just have bad luck b/c everyone else's reviews were more positive. But if you can be spared any drama, avoid this freaking phone. The phone worked fine until the 2nd week, until the phone started shutting down without notice. I couldn't power it back on until the phone was ready, which could mean all day.

After dealing with some technical problems with a certain nameless cell provider ("Can you hear me know?"), I had to postpone a scheduled trip for a week just to get this phone's late arrival + the phone still did not work. Finally a month later I got the phone I have had for the past 7 months. The root problem, it seems, may have been an unformatted micro SD card.

Au contraire, the problems never stopped. My wallpaper constantly changes at random. It still blacks out sometimes. Ever so often my texts do not go through (never an issue with my old phone--LG V8300).

While this is relatively minor, it is a big irritation. The tech guys have no idea how to fix it. Great..

So just to recap--

Pros:
-Sleek & cute
-Qwerty a bonus
-video
-speakerphone

Cons:
-weird speaker/button placement
-low battery life

Avoid this phone if possible. If you have my same provider, you will be forced to upgrade your service.

(Follow link to rate this review or report it to us as inappropriate.)

lisare submitted this review of the LG enV3 VX-9200:

Overall rating: 2 (out of 5)

I would love to say this was the best phone I ever had. And it was, until it started shutting itself off. This may be seeming to be a LG issue, as my Voyager did the same thing.
Regardless, the phone is great for texting, great for calls, has a fantastic camera. The fact it shuts itself off really brought it to a two. How great is a phone when it doesn't work?
Verizon calls it a "software issue." As this is a common issue (an many people I know have the same problem), it should be rectified- not just a phone swap.
Because I am not the only one, only get this phone if it's not your only mode of communication.

(Follow link to rate this review or report it to us as inappropriate.)

For those of you who have had problems shutting off, take off the battery and clean the contacts with an eraser, use canned air to remove any other dust or build up. My husband had that problem with his and this fixed the issue. Also taking it to verizon for a software update also helps. I love the way the keys are spaced for texting. The long lasting battery is also great don't have to charge but every few days, and I am an active user. The camera is also great takes nice pics. If you are a beginner this phone would be great for you.

(Follow link to rate this review or report it to us as inappropriate.)

I love it. So far so good. I switched from tmobile android behold 2 to a lower phone. I admit i miss my behold at times. But i can do the same things on this phone pretty much as i could on that one. I feel all i did loose was the market and apps that were unique compared to the ones listed on windows users on this mobile.

Pros:
loud speaker
easy keys
moving background.. a plus
visual voicemail-not hed phone. Yay!
bttry life

cons:
bulky
no enuff apps
no good ringtones
internet could be more user friendly

other then that few things i can live with seems there's always nitch your gonna not like about each thing. and going hed to led is a big differnce..

(Follow link to rate this review or report it to us as inappropriate.)

Nateku submitted this review of the LG enV3 VX-9200:

Overall rating: 4.5 (out of 5)

Having previously owned the Env2 before this phone, I can safely say that while it isn't a revolutionary step forward, the Env3 certainly addressed and improved upon the flaws and limitations of it's previous model.

The biggest difference is the front of the phone, with its larger exterior screen as well as a full directional pad unlike the up and down of the Env2. Also, I personally like the way the front number keys curve on the Env3 better, it looks sleeker.

On the inside, a slightly larger screen awaits. While it wasn't a very noticeable size difference, it's still a nicer screen. Also, the 3 megapixel camera as well as the inclusion of a flash feature was a really nice improvement over the Env2 camera. The speakers also have better sound quality at full volume.

Going from the two space bars on the left and right side of the Env2 key board to one larger space bar in the middle with the Env3 was a somewhat difficult transition at first. After a few weeks however, the space position seemed natural and texting was a breeze.

A couple things come to mind in terms of flaws or lost features. On the Env2, you could start typing from the start-up screen and it would create a new text message. This no longer happens with the Env3. Also, after your inbox gets to more than half full there is a noticeable drop in the time it takes for letters to appear on screen after you press the corresponding letter key. A slight detriment for fast texters.

Also, as has been the case for quite some years, the same old Verizon menu system is in place. It would be nice if Verizon could implement a different menu for once, considering all the new phones they're coming out with. Not that the current one is bad, just boring and a bit outdated.

The Env3 is a solid continuation of the Env series, and an overall high quality QWERTY phone.

PROS
+More functional exterior
+Better camera size and options
+Higher quality speakers

Cons
-Lack of auto texting
-Same menu
-Lag in texting

(Follow link to rate this review or report it to us as inappropriate.)

I have had no problems with it at all. I switched from a Blackberry Storm to this phone and it is so much better. The only thing that has been wrong is sometimes when I try to take a picture, or view my pictures the phone turns off, but it doesn't happen very often. Overall its a really great phone.

(Follow link to rate this review or report it to us as inappropriate.)
