The reception is good. call quality, it can hold alot of ring tones and junk. Ive been using it since the spring of 2006. Worked well. I actually found this phone on a bus. Tried calling around to find the owner. It wasn't reported stolen or anything so I used it. I love this phone. Internet is not to bad. Its a little slow. Some glitches in the texting. When you have it on silent and you send a text the key pad sound will come back on. Does any one know how to fix that besides turning the sound completely off? Besides minor stuff like that the phone in my opinion is perfect. And I have had the same issue with both. The problem I have had is where the little light is at the top right side where the phone flips open, has cracked and now the part that flips up not only flips up but falls off. I could see this not being such an issue if it had just been the one phone but like I said this is cell phone number two. When I do replace this phone it most certainly will not be with this same model of phone. This phone in later 2003 was a decent, durable, good phone to own. <br /><br />I use to own this phone 3 years ago and it served its purpose very well and kept going till about 1.7 years later. <br /><br />Phones have a life span expectancy, these days, of about 1 year. This is how the USA works. Do not try to compare phones from ages past because they are completely different. <br /><br />Pros at lifetime:<br />Durability.<br />Battery life (brand new).<br />Reliable network (before Sprint updated to newer tech.)<br />Data Capable with games!<br /><br />Cons at lifetime:<br />no camera (95% of the phones out at this time did not have cameras!!!!) so this isn't really a con. duh!<br /><br />If you or anyone you know has bought this phone within 2006-2007 then, well..you do get what you pay for..or do not pay for.<br /><br />Do not complain about a phone that no longer is "on" the market and has not been for a while. <br /><br />You want a better phone? Than actually spend some money, not a lot, if you invest $50-$120 into a phone today, chances are you will be much happier! <br /><br />I have customers come in -all- the time with this phone still at their side and when they first got it years ago they found it to be fine. Time to upgrade though. This has been an excellent, sturdy little phone. <br /><br />PROS<br />-very durable! has endured dog bite marks, being dropped, etc. and despite some scratches, is still an attractive phone.<br />-simple to use<br />-nice screen inside<br />-well-lit buttons (easy to use in dark)<br />-decent battery life<br /><br />CONS<br />-my biggest complaint: texting. people often dont receive texts i send them...idk if that concerns my reception or area or such, but that was my main problem.<br />-reception was iffy in some places<br />-no camera or speakerphone<br />-call waiting beep was hardly audible<br /><br /><br />overall... a very good, simple phone. When customers call in to upgrade from the phone, it's almost never because the phone won't work or it's broken. It usually seems to be because their companies have bought them better phones. I even have people asking me "Why don't you have anything simple like the 660 I had last time?" quite a bit. <br /><br />I have gotten maybe 4 customers who called in to order a new phone just to get rid of the 660 and most of the time it's because of factory or age defects such as the charger jack going out because it's been charged in the car too much or the battery finally fritzing out. <br /><br />So from a Sprint Rep who currently owns a model of this phone which I received second-hand from a family member after the thing was quite well used, I have the truth to tell...<br /><br />PRO's:<br /><br />Slim phone, fits in your pocket<br />No trouble finding accessories<br />Good battery life (most of the time)<br />Decent signal<br />User friendly <br />Good rington capability<br />No trouble finding accessories<br /><br />CON's:<br /><br />No outside view screen<br />Small screen<br />You can't see the screen under bright light like sun<br />Demo only games <br />Useless Antenna <br />Bad volume control<br />Occasionally bad reception<br />Seems to charge quickly but the bars fall fast if you don't charge for at least an hour. <br /><br />That's about it. If this phone had a camera and an outside screen it'd be the 620. I don't remember why I didn't end up figuring out how to use it.<br /><br />*I'm not sure if this is phone or service- my bf has a different phone, same brand and service, and he can preview ringtones before downloading them. I had to go off of title.<br /><br />*The battery lasts seemingly forever... if you aren't using the phone. Talking lasted about 2 1/2 - 3 hours, web about the same. Being out-of-range means the battery dies faster because the phone spends it looking for service.<br /><br />*I put heavy wear on the phone and was dropping it constantly, much of the time on pavement or other hard surfaces. The hinge finally snapped on one side last month, leaving the halves held together only by the inner cable, but it still worked. Currently the only problem (a big one, I admit) is that the screen shows only solid blue.
