Red_Chaos1 submitted this review of the LG Lucid:

Overall rating: 2.5 (out of 5)

At the time of purchase, the LG Lucid wasgoing for an activated price of $129.99 with a $50 mail in rebate, making it an $80 phone. It has since been eclipsed by a version 2, and many other phones. It was sold as being ICS upgradeable and has since received its upgrade, with a further large update from LG about a month or so after that.

It is marketed by LG as a beginners Android smart phone, and it excels at this. It doesn't have the biggest highest resolution or most colorful screen, but it still manages to look damn good, and it is plenty bright. The sound is much louder than any phone I had, and should not be a problem to hear ringing at distance. Battery life seems appropriate, you will need to plug it in every night if you use it light to moderately, even just for a lot of SMS use. The UI is relatively easy to figure out and navigate within a days use.

Transferring files to and from the phone is very simple as well, just a matter of plugging it in, though when plugged in, access to the SD card is cut off from the phone, so any custom ringers and notifications will stop working as the phone will temporarily revert to defaults (if you store your ringers and notifications there instead of the internal storage).

Pros:
-Bright 4" screen
-Dual core with built in GPU
-Small enough to fit in a pocket
-Front and rear facing cameras
-Good quality 5MP rear facing camera
-Simplicity in design

Cons:
-Can become laggy when using complex live wallpapers
-Based on previous generation Snapdragon processor
-No SD card included

(Follow link to rate this review or report it to us as inappropriate.)
