The U.S. Senate this afternoon passed a bill that will delay the contested 700 MHz spectrum sale, scheduled to begin tomorrow. The compromise allows for 18 megahertz of spectrum in the lower end of the band to be auctioned later in the summer. Now that the Senate has approved the measure, insiders predict that House members will bring the bill to the floor tonight for a final vote.
