Jun 19, 2002, 3:03 PM by (staff)
Sprint PCS today announced the nationwide launch of wireless text telephone (TTY) compatibility services across its network. The service meets the FCC's June 30 deadline for all wireless carriers to offer such a service. Sprint offers at least six phones that can be used with portable TTY equipment. Wireless TTY service, which enables the hearing-impaired to communicate via text, was previously available only on analog wireless networks.
