At PC Expo in New York this week, Research In Motion Limited (RIM) is demonstrating a trio of new BlackBerry handhelds for wireless phone networks. RIM is announcing its intent to bring all three to market before the end of the year. One device will use the GSM/GPRS standard and feature dual-band world roaming. The second device will be iDEN-based, and include J2ME and a two-way radio feature. The third will be Java-based and support the CDMA 1xRTT standard. All three will sport integrated speaker and microphone for use as a phone handset.
