FCC Considering Spectrum Flexibility

FCC Chairman Michael Powell yesterday said the agency is exploring ways to overhaul government regulations of wireless licenses. Proposed reforms center around using limited spectrum more efficiently. One proposal would allow spectrum orginally designated for one type of service to be used for multiple types of services. Another proposal would allow spectrum to be shared by other entities when idle.
