AT&T today announced three new data roaming options for customers who plan to travel abroad during the summer months. The Data Global Add-On packages cost $30 per month for 120MB of data, $60 per month for 300MB, or $120 per month for 800MB. The overage for all three packages costs $30 for an additional 120MB. The data roaming plans are available to AT&T's smartphone, tablet, and internet dongle/laptop customers. The plans are compatible in 130 countries around the world. In countries where it is not, AT&T customers will have to pay by the megabyte.

Yikes!

I know it's cheaper than the old plans, but it's still a ripoff. It's a much better idea to just turn off cellular data and use wi-fi. Or, if you must have cellular data, then buy a local SIM.
I would say unlocking the phone and using a local SIM is best, the only real reason to pay roaming fees is if you really wanna keep your phone number while you're over there for a short trip.

Haven't updated on the site just yet

Old plans were $24.99 for 50 MB, $49.99 for 125 MB, $99.99 for 275 MB, and $199.99 for 800 MB.

New plans are a pretty big drop, but international data still ain't cheap.
So another words it boils down to
$30/$60 and so on for,...nothing.
