Samsung Electronics today announced some changes in its leadership ranks. CEO Choi Gee-sung is being moved to lead Samsung Group's corporate strategy. He's been with the company more than 30 years and is helping to groom Samsung Electronics' chairman Lee Kun-hee's son, Jay Y. Lee, for the executive role. Jay Y. Lee is the chief operating officer. Until Lee is ready, Kwon Oh-hyun, who has led the company's component business, has been named the new CEO of Samsung Electronics.
