Motorola has added two new black designer handsets to its lineup and updated the successful RAZR with a black anodized special edition to match. The two new additions forgo quad band present in last year's models, instead opting for localized tri-band editions with EDGE data.
- PEBL V6: A new design to replace the V600 with a smooth oval shape and a double hinge. Features include Bluetooth, VGA camera with video capture, and a vertical external display. Two tri-band GSM/GPRS EDGE models - 850/1800/1900 and 900/1800/1900 are not due out until the second half of 2005.
- SLVR V8: The SLVR is a candy bar style phone using the same miniaturized technology and design as the RAZR. It includes most of the RAZR's features such as a 176x220 screen, VGA camera and Bluetooth as well as adding a TransFlash slot, Push to Talk capability, a new media player and other applications. Two tri-band GSM/GPRS EDGE models - 850/1800/1900 and 900/1800/1900 will be available in the third quarter.
- SE Black RAZR V3: The black RAZR that Oscar nominees received will be made available to subscribers everywhere. The specs are the same as the silver model, only the body color has been changed.

No SLVR on Cingular
I am a Cingular employee and we have just gotten word that Nokia has signed an deal with Cingular to be the sole bar style phone provider. With the exception of the C207 and smartphones; also the deal does not apply to spinners or sliders. No word on how long the deal will last, but we've already had to pull 4 phones from our store.yes it is pimp, but verizon won't carrier it,or any cool phone for that matter. So all your can do is wish you had it.. 🤣 🤣...I don't know dude, I think it screams "Ho!" 😈SLiver
🤣Headed to T-mobile and Cingular
😲 Looks like both GSM carriers will get the "PEBL V6" and the "SLVR V8", since both phones will come in 2 versions. One version will have 850/1800/1900MHz and the other will have 900/1800/1900MHz. Plus, both phone versions have EDGE technology, so T-Mobile and Cingular will benefit. Also, both "PEBL V6" versions are due in the second half(between July and December) of 2005. The "SLVR V8", is suppose to be available in the third quarter(July, August, or September).Wait, I wasn't aware T-Mobile had EDGE......SE Black RAZR V3... WHEN?!?!?!
Anybody know WHEN this phone will be made available to the general public?
