Google today announced a new application for the Apple iPhone called YouTube Capture. The application is a dedicated video recording app that is ready to record as soon as the app is opened. Once done recording, the app can then be used to immediately share the recorded video to whatever social networks the user might wish. Uploaded videos can be set to private or public, as well as unpublished altogether if need be. It can run in the background for quick multitasking. It offers some minor editing features, such as trimming the length of the video, stabilizing it, and correcting for color. Last, the application will remind users to orient their phones sideways to avoid what it calls "Vertical Video Syndrome." YouTube Capture is a free download from the iTunes App Store. According to Google, the feature will be added to Android smartphones soon.
