Documents made available on the FCC web site this week have revealed an unannounced music-oriented GSM phone from LG, apparently destined for Cingular. Referred to as the CE500 in FCC documents, the clamshell phone is based on LG's M4300 music phone announced earlier this year at CeBIT for Europe. Like the M4300, the CE500 sports a VGA camera, dual color displays, EDGE high-speed data, stereo speakers, and music control keys on the cover. The phone also features speakerphone and video capture. The CE500 has a TransFlash memory card slot instead of MiniSD, however, and lacks Bluetooth and an internal antenna compared to the M4300. The FCC documents include numerous references to Cingular.
