Android Smartphones Given Remote Access to PCs

Google today announced the availability of Chrome Remote Desktop app for Android, a tool that allows Android devices to remotely access Windows and Mac computers. In order to gain remote PC access, users will need to download and install software on their PC as well as the Chrome Remote Desktop app on their Android device. Once configured, users should be able to access PC-based files from their Android device. The service is free to set up and use. Google said an iOS version of the Chrome Remote Desktop app us due later this year.

Google Making Maps Location History Private, Even from Police

Google is changing how Maps stores your location history, moving it on-device by default and encrypting it when saved to the cloud. This change means even Google can't access that data, which also means Google will no longer be able to respond to "geo-fence" warrants from police wanting to know who was in a given area at a given time.

It works pretty darn good. No we just need a way to control a phone from a PC or another phone so I can help my parents with their phone.

Much better than team viewer. I can use this and set up movies for my dauther to watch while I'm at work. It's fantastic
