Casio Trying To Enter US Market

Casio, which makes phones for all major Japanese carriers, is in advanced talks to bring some of their phones to the US. Although the company did not reveal what carrier they are in talks with, they specifically mentioned the success of their G'zOne ruggedized, water-resistant handset for KDDI. The G'zOne is a CDMA 1xRTT phone with 1.3 MP camera, music player and a digital compass. It is available in several different models, all of which take both styling and engineering cues from Casio's G-Shock watch line. It is unlikely this model would be in any of the new MVNO's line-ups since it is not EV-DO, leaving it to appear on Sprint, Verizon, Virgin or a regional carrier.

Thanks Rich, but Iā€™m trying to live in denial over here, after seeing that it really puts my cheesy verizon razr into perspective. Now I need that flashy thing they used in Men in Black.

Thanks šŸ™‚
