The FCC recently approved two Pantech phones, each with indications they are coming to Cingular in the FCC documents. Until now, only Pantech's CDMA handsets have been announced for the US. Both phones are low cost handsets that are small on features, but each is small physically as well.

C300 = CDM180?

The C300 looks nearly identical to the UTStarcom CDM180. The major difference being that Pantech didn't make their version ugly.

Can't wait to see the new Pantech GSM phones. Does anyone know if they will be rebadged as "Cingular" phones like Verizon has been doing to Audiovox/UTStarcom phones?
It would make sense that they do... the (htc) Cingular 2125 was re-branded... so it would probably fit in well.

Actually, both are made by Pantech, but the C300 is much smaller. It's REALLY TINY! Check out this pic of it next to a RAZR:

Interesting

Hmmm maybe they will be better than the samsungs and the lg's that make up the low end? reception is pretty bad with those(With the xception of the X497, that one is not that bad actually)
