Google Site Helps Sort Through Android Phones

Most wireless carriers offer more than a dozen different Android smartphones and choosing the right one can be daunting. In response, Google has published a new web site with the aim of helping people pick their next phone. The site is essentially a questionnaire about how the person intends to use their handset. People can pick from options such as listening to music, social networking, or health and fitness. Once people have selected a few options, the site deep-dives into each selection seeking more in-depth answers. Finally, it asks users what carrier they prefer and makes a handful of picks. Google doesn't offer ratings or reviews on the handsets; it simply matches phones to people based on their preferred features. The site is aimed more at those seeking guidance for their first Android handset than it is for experienced consumers.
