TiVo will release an application allowing mobile phone users to program their TiVo while on the go. Users will be able to use a standard cell phone to check network schedules or search for shows, and then set their internet-connected TiVo to record those programs. This application will not stream content stored on the TiVo to a mobile phone. The application will initially be launched on Verizon and will cost $5 per month. It may launch on additional networks later in the year.
