Kyocera today announced a number of new clamshells with modern designs and upgraded feature sets.
- K822: Kyocera's new high end clamshell features a music player (MP3, AAC and WMA), external music playback controls and an FM radio. Also features Bluetooth, a MicroSD slot and 1.3 Megapixel camera with flash. Despite the rich feature set, the K822 only has RTT data capabilities, not EV-DO.
- K320 series: The K322 and K323 have the same features but slightly different bodies. They are meant to be low cost but feature rich midrange models. They feature Bluetooth, VGA camera, and external monochrome display.
- K342: The 340 series builds on the 320 series, upgrading a few of the features. The camera is upgraded to a 1.3 MP model with flash and video recording, and the external screen is upgraded to color. Other upgrades to the 340 include photo caller ID and speaker independent voice recognition.
