Verizon Wireless customers can snag an extra 1GB of mobile data this month from Big Red. The promotional data offer can be redeemed online and will be added to the account holder's existing data allotment for the current billing period. Verizon said customers can get another free 1GB of data for their next billing period, too. Verizon is offering a range of other freebies to its customers in what it calls its "Thanksgetting" promotion. For example, people who shop online Nov. 25 can get a $5 iTunes gift card or a 30-day trial of Pandora One. Other freebies come from Lyft, Boingo, Gogo, and Amazon.
Verizon is going down the ****ter....
First, they increase grandfathered unlimited data rates by $20 a month, without a formal warning of any kind (just a brief popup when one logs in to their online account and a few lines of text almost at the end of their monthly printed bill). They claim this increase is needed to support and maintain/upgrade their 4G network. I highly doubt that's the case and directly asked them if this increase was manifested by the CEO's and other executives' desire for bigger end of year bonuses. Of course, they never answered such a simple question because it is true. I hope Verizon starts to lose subscribers left and right.
2. This 1 GB and another 1 GB free data thing is garbage. They act as if they are doing their subscribers a favor for the holi...

It has nothing to do with anyone getting any kind of bonus, it was done to encourage people on uneconomical (uneconomical for Verizon) unlimited plans to switch to a current plan.
I am chatting with a Verizon rep who says it ended 11-27-15.
It'd be nice if it actually worked
Typical Verizon fashion, I've tried several times to get this. And all I get is a error message.
