Google Adds Reminders to Google Calendar
Dec 7, 2015, 11:57 AM by Eric M. Zeman
Google today said mobile device users can now add reminders to their Google Calendar. Google says reminders will remain within Google Calendar if left uncompleted. For example, a reminder set for Monday afternoon that's not checked off will reappear as the top item in the calendar on Tuesday and so on until marked as done. Reminders can pull in data from Gmail and contacts, as well. If users set a reminder to call a specific person or run an errand at a particular place, the phone number or address can accompany the reminder to make it easier to accomplish. Reminders travel across users' Google apps, including Inbox, Keep, and Google Now. Reminders made in one app will appear in others, and can be marked off in whichever app it appears. The improved Google Calendar app with reminders will reach the Google Play Store and iTunes App Store this week. Google says reminders will reach its web products down the road.
