Shared Albums Arrive in Google Photos

Google today made a tool called shared albums available to Google Photos users. Google made sure the tool is easy to use. People simply select the photos they want to share, put them into an album, and then invite people to view the album. Invitees can be given view-only access, or be allowed to contribute their own photos. The albums can be shared with anyone, even those who don't have Google accounts, but only Google account holders can add photos to shared albums. People who participate in shared albums can opt to receive notifications when new photos are added, and albums can be saved to participants' Google Photos libraries. The shared albums feature is available to the Android and iOS mobile apps, as well as on the web.
