Google Says MVN-NO

Google executives yesterday spent the day with the press, introducing new products and answering questions about Google's strategy. During the questions, Google CEO Eric Schmidt said Google is not interested in launching an MVNO or "Google Phone." Schmidt also announced Google is not participating in the upcoming AWS spectrum auction, but it could acquire some of the spectrum through a partner. Instead of launching a cellular service, Google will continue to launch more mobile applications, better mobile search, and advertising on phones.

google the phrase "bad idea" and you would pull up sites about a Google MVNO.....

Let us discuss about MVNOs and the cellular market

so as you all know there is approx 2 billion people in the world with cell phones at the end of 2005. we all know that the world's cellular situation is becoming close to saturation limits so that means other carriers, providers need to do something else to expand revenue. we all know wireless is the future especially making a lot of free cash flow and money globally.

many companies now a days are starting to form joint ventures and mvnos and they are seeing some Roic from doing this..

the good thing with mvnos is that it targets the 18-21 year old crowd, the lesser tweens, and the olden folks, which combined is a many multi-hundred billion dollar market. thus; we see all kinds of these mvnos popping up.
