Sprint Loses Suit To Affiliate IPCS

A circuit court judge in Illinois today ruled that Sprint can not sell Nextel under the Sprint brand in areas served by IPCS, a Sprint affiliate. This decision means Sprint cannot re-brand Nextel stores in 80 markets across the midwest. Sprint has already informed the court it will appeal the decision. Recently a Maryland judge ruled in Sprint's favor in a similar case, allowing Sprint to sell iDEN service under its brand in markets still served by Horizon and Bright.

IPCS?

What is IPCS? Is it a regional carrier?
ipcs, (illinois pcs) owns the sprint network in the chicago area (northern indiana, southern michigan... etc) and they have refused to sell their part of the network to sprint corporate, that's why you don't see nextel and sprint merged in that part o...
