Nokia today said it has sold its Withings business to the wearable company's original co-founder, Eric Carreel. Nokia had purchased the company in 2016. Moving forward, Withings will be headquartered in Paris, with offices in the U.S. and Asia. The company says it is "dedicated to developing innovative connected health products focused on preventive health." Withings will continue to sell Nokia's other health-focused products. Carreel expects to relaunch Withings by the end of the year. "I am delighted to start working again with the brilliant teams that made the brand such a great success," said Carreel. "We have an exciting challenge ahead of us as we continue to push the boundaries of connected health." Withings makes tracking watches, connected scales, blood pressure monitors, a smart thermometer, and a sleep-tracking pad.
